The 10 Best Bait Boards

Updated January 05, 2019 by Quincy Miller

This wiki has been updated 15 times since it was first published in December of 2018. While fishing is a great way to spend a weekend, dealing with bait is a smelly, nasty chore — even if you don't end up getting guts and gunk all over you. These boards take some of the hassle out of preparing your hook, as they give you a large, sturdy surface on which to work. Not only that, but many have places to store lures and tools, and most are equipped with holes for disposing of the mess. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

December 28, 2018:

There aren't a lot of features that distinguish one bait board from another, so any useful distinguishing attribute — such as a built-in ruler or cup holder — served to boost an item's rating in our eyes. Durability and ease of use also factored in heavily, as did the ability to keep all of your necessary gear within arm's reach.
