The 10 Best Shelf Liners

Updated March 13, 2019 by Brett Dvoretz

This wiki has been updated 23 times since it was first published in February of 2017. Whether you bought a piece of furniture at a yard sale that looks perfect except for its dinged up shelves or you've moved into a house with pantry shelves that have seen better days, these liners can quickly and cost-effectively breathe new life into older armoires, vanities, drawers, and more. Some even come in fashionable colors to give interior spaces a bit of a facelift. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

March 09, 2019:

We realize that not everybody needs the same type of shelf liner. Those who are looking to protect kitchen shelves or drawers from damage would probably be best served by a foam option, such as the Con-Tact Grip, Gorilla Grip Original, Duck Select Grip, and HityTech Multi-Functional. The DII Non-Adhesive is also a great option for places that might be at a high risk of spills, since it can be tossed in the washing machine for easy cleaning. Since it is made from a polyester-viscose blend fabric though, it won't provide as much surface protection as the foam options. Both the Macbeth Collection M-79820 and DII Non-Adhesive come in some striking prints and patterns, making them the best options for adding a bit of style to an otherwise blasé interior. If you are looking for something a bit more durable for a tool shelf or utility room rack, consider the Trinity Frosted Plastic and Warp Brothers PM210-C, or the wood-based Quartet Cork Roll.
