The magazine was created in 2013 by Nathan Chan, an Australian entrepreneur who started the publication from a laptop in his bedroom while still working full time as a publishing consultant. At the beginning of his career, he did IT support, but found it unfulfilling. Chan's philosophy was to simply create something that he would want to read.
