With board games enjoying a well-deserved resurgence in popularity, there is more variety than ever before, but finding the right place to jump back in doesn't have to be difficult. Our recommendations include options both familiar and new, with choices for toddlers, pre-teens, and those in between. Just make sure any you buy are age-appropriate, as some have small parts. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

February 27, 2019:

Despite being an all-time classic, Sorry! dropped off this edition of our list (if only there were some way to apologize...). While still undeniably fun, the game has seen several recent updates that only served to detract from its appeal. The other entries on the list range from those targeted to a certain age range in particular, like Candy Land or Settlers of Catan, to those that should be fun for the entire family, like Labyrinth. Most of the titles shown here are intended for small groups, such as a parent and one or two kids, but there are a few — like Gotrovo Treasure Hunt — that are perfect for entertaining large groups at birthday parties and sleepovers.

Sharing a home with three dogs and a couple of cats has forced Quincy to learn as much as he can about pet supplies, animal nutrition and, most importantly, the best ways to tackle the mountains of fur that accumulate in every corner of your home.
