Most of the options on this list are geared towards new parents, and their suitability for nursing, soothing, and rocking definitely played a part in our rankings. However, we also considered models that would fit in all over the house, which is part of the reason why the DaVinci Upholstered earned top billing. A beautiful piece of furniture, it will dress up any room it's in, even if that's a nursery.
The Phi Villa Patio is one of the few that can be taken outdoors, though. The mesh fabric dries quickly if it gets wet, and the frame is built to withstand just about any weather. That doesn't mean it won't work equally well inside, however.
One of the things that we liked about the Dutailier Modern is its six-position lock. It makes it easy to get in and out of, even when holding a sleeping baby — and that's no small feat. Anything that lets you go directly from feeding infants to putting them in their cribs is quite a valuable piece of furniture indeed.
