Editor's Notes
August 11, 2020:
Thanks to their ease of use and quick cook times, air fryers have quickly become a kitchen staple for many in the last few years, including everyone from busy parents and professionals to cooking newbies and celebrity chefs. We selected the cookbooks on this list with that diversity of readership in mind, curating volumes for those who live with just a partner or one other person, like the newly-added The Essential Air Fryer Cookbook for Two, options for the moderately experienced, like Todd English's The Air Fryer Cookbook, and The Air Fryer Bible and Air Fry Everything, which speak to people with big families who need a lot of material to work with.
We removed Keto: Easy and Healthy Low Carb Recipes in favor of Maria Emmerich's Keto Air Fryer, as she is one of the most trusted and respected people in the field and certainly knows her stuff when it comes to the keto diet. She has a knack for reimagining recipes and creating innovative new ones, as well as explaining things in a straightforward way.
When 550 Recipes became unavailable we took the opportunity to recommend The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook, as we felt our selections could use another title with a focus on healthy dishes. We appreciate that it contains vegetarian, gluten-free, and keto-friendly options, and all recipes are helpfully called out with icons and partnered with nutritional information. Those who are on Weight Watchers can visit the book's complementary blog for the most up-to-date points, as well.

Took a look at options from popular chefs, selecting those from Meredith Laurence, Todd English, and America's Test Kitchen; each of these are appropriate for everyone from novices to the experienced and include a wide variety of recipes. Also selected a couple of less expensive choices from unknown authors, including the Air Fryer Cookbook and The Keto Cookbook, which are probably best for beginners.
