When it comes to maintaining a smooth, stubble-free scalp, it is important to have the right equipment. While you could certainly use a normal disposable razor this often requires a lot of skill not to accidentally nick yourself, and even the most experienced people will still do it periodically. Conversely, you could go with any old electric razor, which eliminates the chances of cutting yourself, but not all models do well on the head due to its unusual contours. On this list you can find a range of razor types, from manual to electric, but they all have one thing in common, they are very effective at shaving heads completely bald.
If you like the smoothness that a manual razor produces, you should consider the HeadBlade ATX and Omnishaver Black. Both of these provide a cutting experience similar to a normal razor, but have special features that help prevent nicks and cuts, while also offering a close-to-the-skin shave.
Options like the Andis 17150 Pro Foil, Panasonic ES-LL41-K, Wahl Professional Finale Finishing Tool, Wahl Balding Clipper 8110, and Philips Norelco 7500 are not specifically designed for head shaving, but have been proven to be very good for that use. With the Andis 17150 Pro Foil and Wahl Professional Finale Finishing Tool, it is thanks to the dual-level, foil-covered blades, both of which are made with hypoallergenic materials. The Panasonic ES-LL41-K also features foil-covered blades, but has the added bonus of them being set onto a pivoting head that allows them to follow the curves of your head without a lot of repositioning of your hand. However, it is significantly larger than the Andis Pro Foil and the Wahl Finale, which some may not like.
Perhaps a better option than any of the above though, may be to go with an electric model specifically designed for heads, such as the Skull Shaver Pitbull Platinum Pro and Skull Shaver Palm 3. What you may immediately notice when looking at these two is that the rotary shavers they are equipped with curve in the opposite direction of those on models intended for the face. This is key to how well they following along the contours of your head. Plus, they both fit comfortably in the palm, which makes them easy to maneuver, and can be used in the shower so you can bathe and groom at the same time, and maybe get out the door just a bit quicker in the mornings.

Bald head shavers must be able to do their job well enough that you won't feel the need to pull out a traditional razor afterwards, so our main priority was identifying models that could do just that. In addition, we thought it prudent to include a few that also functioned as trimmers, so that users wouldn't need to purchase a secondary device for their beard.
