The 10 Best Car iPhone Holders
Editor's Notes
November 21, 2019:
When revisiting this list, we wanted to expand our offerings to include models that didn't have to adhere via an adhesive, clip-on an air vent, or require you to attach a magnet to your phone. That's why we added the Loncaster Anti-Slip and the Topgo Upgraded. The Loncaster unit we love for its versatility — you can take it out of your car when you get home and use it on your desk, place it on a table by your bed, or use it in the kitchen to read recipes or watch videos. To reuse it, you just need to wash it with water. To make room for the two aforementioned products, we let go of the Exshow Long Arm, which suffered from complaints regarding its efficacy, and Kavoxii No Touch, which is no longer available.
We also swapped the TechMatte MagGrip out for the APPS2Car Compatible, which is similar in design and price, but boasts a proprietary magnetic technology called GripMax that uses Nd2Fe14B magnets that are 44% bigger, 33% thicker, and 91% stronger than other options on the market.
When the SSKJTC Gravity became unavailable, we took the opportunity to recommend a superior selection that was also capable of charging Qi-enabled phones. The ZeeHoo Auto-Clamping can be installed in your air vents or straight to your dash, and it was designed to suit thick cases. That being said, it probably won't accommodate super bulky Otterbox cases or phone wallets, but this is a problem across the category.
We want to stress that while using a phone mount is worlds safer than holding your phone in your hand, it's still paramount that you keep your eyes on the road, never text and drive, and adjust your mount prior to starting your car so you can be sure that you have the best viewing angle before you hit the road.
