This wiki has been updated 11 times since it was first published in February of 2018. There is a surprising amount of electromagnetic waves streaming through the atmosphere, each a different broadcast for public or private use. A lot of these signals carry digital video and/or audio and require specialized equipment to read and decode them. The right antenna will help you capture those transmissions, whether you're looking for TV, radio, or mobile phone connectivity. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Skip to the best digital antenna on Amazon.

August 01, 2019:

Digital information is all around us, and depending on which of it you want to harness, you'll need the right antenna. A lot of our top options have to do with over-the-air TV signals, because that's one of the most common antenna applications among consumers. The Mohu and Antop flat antennas are ideal for indoor use, plus they're both pretty affordable and don't take up much space at all. The ClearStream Eclipse is one of the best for either indoor or outdoor use and it comes in 1-, 2-, and 4-piece constructions that can provide an impressive maximum range. The Marathon is one of the best-performing indoor models, though because it's designed for permanent installation in an attic or crawlspace, it's a lot of work for some homeowners, and not an option for renters.

The King and the Vansky are excellent outdoor-only choices for RVs and homes, respectively. They can both be set to pick up specific channels that may be very far away, so they're great in rural areas, although their installation can also be a bit trickier than a simple indoor on-wall panel antenna. Antop makes a good RV option as well. We've also listed a couple 4G antennas that can serve as the starting point to a DIY cell booster system, as well as one of the most effective SiriusXM options.
