The 9 Best Laser Pegs Sets
Editor's Notes
June 22, 2020:
As some of these sets rotate in and out of the company's lineup, availability issues have plagued some of the popular models, like the T-Rex on our previous list. Other offerings have been replaced with superior versions. The Rescue 3-In-1, for example, has been upgraded to the Fire Truck Building Set, which offers 12 configurations instead of just three, so kids can create a lot more from just a single set.
For the most part, these sets aren't going to be able to boast the same smooth snap assembly you get with LEGO sets, but there does seem to be a little disparity even among Laser Pegs. The Sabertooth Attack comes together rather easily, not just because of the quality in its design, but also the execution of its blocks. Less expensive models like the Mini Bulldozer MPS700B don't seem to stick together as confidently.
Ultimately, all of these sets come with at least one light-up brick, but it's worth noting when sets come with additional sources of illumination, as these will both add to the fun of a given build and ensure that the toy is still enjoyable should one light source fail over time. The Fire Truck set mentioned above is probably one of the best for this purpose, as it comes with three total light-up bricks and a pair of LED pegs.
