The 10 Best Lego Elves
Editor's Notes
May 13, 2020:
The Lego Elves collection features more than 30 sets in all, with the last one having been made in June of 2018. Unlike other Lego sets that feature minifigures, these come with mini-dolls, which are shaped somewhat differently. In this update, we added in the two most recent sets, which are both medium in size and feature 650 and 883 pieces. With Emily & Noctura’s Showdown, you’ll help Emily and Lumia the wolf battle Noctura at her bat laboratory. The setting features a magic cauldron, hanging bat beds, and a function that makes a bat appear. Included are the two mini-dolls, two bat figures, and a spider figure. You’ll get a chance to protect Elvendale from the evildoers with Elvenstar Tree Bat Attack, in which you’ll put together a treehouse with a hidden staircase, a waterfall tower, a slide, and a forge with a lever that works the volcano hammer.
For another set with more than 800 pieces, look to Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle, in which your mission is to help Emily find the secret portal that will send her back to the human world. It’s full of mystical items that include a disappearing spiral staircase, four magic keys, a magic map, a Pegasus, and a messenger owl. All the Elves sets are pretty exciting, but one of the most exciting is the Aira's Airship & The Amulet Chase, which comes with a large purple and white craft that Emily and Aira the wind elf travel on to retrieve their stolen amulet and fight off Dukelin the goblin with a boomerang. The airship features a spinning propeller and extendable wings.
To make room for the newer sets, we chose to remove Water Dragon Adventure from the list, which seems to fall short when compared with most of the other plotlines, with an elf that brushes her hair and tries out magical beauty products. We also removed Azari & The Goblin Forest Escape, which is a relatively smaller set which some find less challenging and engaging than most of the others. On a safety related note, since Lego sets contain many small pieces, they’re not made for use by very young children. Be sure to comply with the manufacturer's stated age guidelines, and always supervise kids and their toys for a safe playtime.
