The 9 Best Magnetic Stirrers
Editor's Notes
December 21, 2020:
During this round of updates, while the Cimaron Mookis was removed due to availability issues, we replaced the Intllab Max with the Intllab Set. Although they’re very close in cost, the Set – which appears to include the same basic unit that’s offered by the Max – also includes a handy set of seven stir bars, and a 10-inch retriever to help pull them out of your samples once you’re done.
Note that, while the Intllab Set and the MX-3K Laboratory have no heating capabilities – a shortcoming that will surely eliminate them from consideration by many of our users – we’ve continued to include them on our list, as we recognize they present an affordable solution for home-brewing members of our audience who’re stirring yeast starters, as well as mycologists working with liquid cultures.

Added items with varying degrees of RPM power to suit the needs of a variety of users. Made sure to include both affordable and top-of-the-line devices in order to provide options for both professionals and hobbyists. Also chose several models with holders, heat functionality, and other features for users interested in versatility.
