QW Amish Mission 40-Inch The QW Amish Mission 40-Inch looks like a standard cabinet, but once open, it's an all-in-one sewing center with a machine insert and lift. It's crafted by hand in the USA, with real wood, not particleboard or MDF; you can select from a range of handsome finishes, such as Natural Onyx, Burnt Umber, or Storm Grey. qualitywoods.com

Editor's Notes
July 30, 2020:
To ensure that both homeowners and apartment dwellers get the work surface they need, we've kept tables in a wide range of sizes, including those that fold for compact storage. These folding models include the Sew Ready Multipurpose, which is light and portable, thanks to its wheels. Note, though, that it doesn't feel as robust and sturdy as many larger, non-movable versions. You might consider it for light duty or small projects, rather than serious quilting. The same could be said for the versatile Sew Ready Eclipse, which tends to vibrate when the user pushes his or her sewing machine to high speeds.
As for tables that are bigger, and with more organizational features, models from Arrow still come out on top, including the admittedly pricey Arrow Aussie II. From the rolling caddy to the large opening for big machines, it makes sewing a pleasant experience, with all of your crucial materials within easy reach. For quilters, the Sullivans Quilter's Design is one to consider, especially since it's complete with grid lines on the surface. But, as with the SEI Furniture Eaton, the assembly can be tough, so be prepared to be patient.
Finally, we added one sturdy all-purpose table, the Seville Classics UltraHD. It will easily transform from computer desk to sewing table, and the height can be adjusted to accommodate a wide range of users. You'll probably need two people to accomplish this, however.

Designed for true enthusiasts, the Kangaroo Kabinets Aussie can be expanded to 99-1/2 inches wide, which gives you plenty of space for multiple sewing machines. It has plenty of drawers, cabinets, and shelves for storage, and a rolling caddy that can be placed in two different spots or stowed away when not in use. When you're finished working, the whole thing folds up to conceal your supplies, and the doors can be locked to keep everything secure. The Sauder Craft Cart is an affordable option with a roll-open cabinet and a drop leaf for extra space when you need it. It's resistant to heat and scratches, so you can use scissors and hot glue guns on the top surface without worry. If you have a large, heavy machine, consider the Arrow Cabinets Bertha, which can support machines weighing up to 60 pounds. Its adjustable platform uses an air lift mechanism to easily switch between free arm and flat bed positions, or to push your machine all the way down to store it out of sight.
If you just need a work surface without a lot of storage space, the Arrow Gidget I is a solid choice that can accommodate machines up to 17-1/2 inches wide. It folds up for compact storage and is lightweight at just 35 pounds, so it's easy to take with you on the go. The Sew Ready Multipurpose can be used either sitting or standing and comes in several color combinations. Its gridded top makes it easy to measure and cut fabrics, and it folds down to just 12-1/4 inches wide when not in use. It won't hold a ton of supplies, but it has two slide-out mesh bins and a bottom shelf where you can store your machine.
