The 6 Best Solar House Numbers
Editor's Notes
August 14, 2020:
For this update we replaced the Eternal Light Sign with the more durable Sungath Smart Control. The Sungath is held up by a stainless steel tube that can handle heavy winds and other weather better than the Eternal Light Sign's plastic stake. In addition, for about the same price you can choose cool or warm light, and most importantly, the large solar panel on top rotates so you can angle it for the best direct sunlight.
We also added the newer Melunar Resin because it offers a more decorative styling than most of the solar options on the market, which tend to be quite squarish. The classic curving shape and the gold trim will look nice with a variety of architecture styles, and this model conceals the solar panels nicely on the top of the unit.

We evaluated the best solar house numbers for visibility and durability. The Lei Drail Address Sign took the top spot for performing well in all weather, having exceptionally large, clear letters, the rechargeable batteries can be replaced, if needed, for longevity's sake.
While their numbers aren't as large as the wall-mounted options, we included the Eternal Light Sign and Moonrays 2-Sided, for homes that sit back further from the street. A mounted light on the house won't do any good in this case, so a model that can be staked closer to the end of the driveway is essential in this case.
There isn't a lot of variety available when it comes to personal style, but the Acrylic Master Combi does give you several font choices. We liked this unit as well for customizing the numbers without additional cost, and it would have been ranked higher if the background weren't transparent, thus reducing the daytime visibility of the black numbers if the house is brick or a darker color.
