If you spend a lot of time outdoors, but don't want to be weighed down with too much heavy gear, one of these lightweight and compact survival cards can replace some of your bulky tools. They'll help you catch food, start fires, heal injuries, and more. We've ranked them by their versatility, ease of use, and practicality. Removed the Readyman Fisherman's, the Fireside Supplies Outdoor Toolkit, and the Survival Hax Tactical Wallet Tool because of availability issues. Added the Tool Logic CC1SB, the Survco Tactical SRVAXE, the Readyman Fisherman, and the Alpha Outpost 11998.

If you decide to venture out deep into the wilderness, you should be carrying a lot more than simply one of these survival cards. However, that is not to say that these can't be useful. The Survco Tactical SRVAXE for example is a surprisingly useful survival card. With a thick branch fashioned into a handle, and some sort of cordage, you can transform it into a real and usable hatchet. This can them be used to cut firewood, start fires, build shelter, and even for self-defense. The thickness of the blade is just enough to be carried around in a wallet while still making for a very robust hatchet head. If you plan on taking it out with you, make sure you practice assembling it at home since you may not have the ability to make a handle or tightly fasten the head. The Tool Logic CC1SB will not replace a proper knife or compass but it is definitely better than having neither. It'll serve many of the necessary functions of a sharp edge and the compass can be used for very rough bearings (make sure you remove the knife from the card when using the compass as any metallic object will disturb the accuracy of the compass). The lens can also be used to start fires, which makes this card a great back-up to have in your pocket.

It is very easy to be injured or die out in the wild away from civilization. Make sure you are fully prepared with information, training, and equipment to survive.
