The 10 Best Toddler Step Stools
Editor's Notes
July 17, 2019:
Once you have one of these stools, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. A stool will increase your child's independence: no more racing to lift your toddler onto the toilet seat, no more holding her up to the sink with one knee while you help her wash her hands.
Made of wood, fiberboard, or plastic, these stools run in a range of heights, designs, costs, and uses. Some have curvature that shows they are intended primarily to sit in front of the toilet so your toddler can climb onto it by himself. Others are more versatile, serving that purpose along with others, letting you slide them under the bathroom sink, for example. A few of our selections require assembly, but it's easy because they have simple designs.
We made this update with safety in mind, mostly selecting items with non-slip properties. Removed several items due to concerns about their availability. Added the Tenby Extra Wide for its clever way of draining water from the surface. We also like its large width because it gives toddlers a bit more margin for error when they're standing on it.
