Editor's Notes

February 26, 2021:

Broadly speaking, there are two types of manual torque-multiplying wrenches: those meant for automotive use, like the inexpensive Xtreme Power US Labor Saving and FirstInfo F3220DD, or the relatively costly Cheater Wrench. You might find some other applications for them, but by and large, they were meant for removing bound or over-torqued wheels.

More general-use torque multipliers can almost be mistaken for simple heavy-duty ratchets. For example, the Neiko Pro 03716B is about as straightforward as they come, yet is built to last for years. The OTC is, perhaps, even more rugged, and just a touch more expensive, while the Stanley Proto J6202A may well top them both in terms of durability, both for heavy-duty jobs, and over years of ownership.

You’re sure to find one here that meets your needs and budget.
