While they are undoubtedly practical and convenient to use, trash cans that store away in cabinets are usually somewhat limited in volume. If you live in a household that produces a lot of garbage and doesn’t have access to a communal waste disposal method, such as a garbage chute or dumpster, you may wish to keep a larger trash can on your property in which to store excess refuse for collection.

When it comes to choosing an under-sink garbage can, you have a few factors to consider. While pull out trash cans are also effective, the items in this ranking are either free-standing, such as the Simplehuman 2.6 Gallon or Ninestars DZT-12-9, or have the option of being hung on cabinet doors. These, which include the Subekyu Mini Metal or Simplehuman Heavy Duty, can either hook over the top of the door, or can be fixed directly to its surface.
