November 22, 2020:
We replaced the Miele C1 Pure Suction with a more full-featured vacuum cleaner, the Miele C3 Calima. This canary yellow model has a generous 36-foot operating radius that helps you get the job done without needing to stop and change wall outlets. Its flexible parquet head is gentle on delicate flooring, and it conveniently can be rotated up to 180 degrees. This one’s got an efficient HEPA filter, making it a good choice in any household with allergy sufferers. We also swapped out the Dyson DC65 Animal with the updated Dyson Upright Ball 2, which features a patented design that makes it easy to steer around furniture and into hard-to-reach places. Just turn your wrist and it’ll easily change directions. It intelligently adjusts its suction based on whether it’s on wood, vinyl, tile, or carpet.
The Dyson V8 Absolute leaves the list to make way for a newer and more powerful model, the Dyson V11 Torque, which provides up to twice the runtime per charge than its predecessor. This one provides the same intelligent sensors as the Upright Ball 2, but it comes in a more compact, cordless design. Its innovative color LCD shows the remaining runtime and other important information, as well as providing maintenance reminders. It also comes with a convenient wall-mounted charging dock. We also replaced an older Eufy model with the simple, yet highly convenient, Eufy RoboVac 12. This robotic vacuum can automatically make its way around your floors for up to 100 minutes between charging, and its drop sensors help it to avoid stairs and ledges. It automatically recharges when it’s done, so it’ll be 100% ready the next time you need it. In today’s update, we also swapped in newer versions of the compact and lightweight Fuller Electric Broom and Dirt Devil Power Express Lite.

Any vacuum can clean hardwood floors, but certain models are capable of doing the job safely and efficiently. We prioritized units that were designed specifically for bare floor cleaning, or were superior at doing so in addition to carpet cleaning. Placed the Miele C1 Pure Suction at number one because its sole job is to tackle bare surfaces, added the Dirt Devil Stick since it's an excellent value for such a low price, and the Shark Navigator due to its impressive features and positive reputation.
