The 8 Best Air Tumble Tracks
This wiki has been updated 18 times since it was first published in November of 2018. If you want to practice gymnastics at home, you need a surface with just the right amount of bounce to perfect your technique and protect you from injuries, like one of these air tumble tracks. They're built to give you the same rebound as floors used in gyms and competitions, and their inflatable design makes them much more compact and portable than traditional foam mats. Editor's Notes
October 23, 2020:
When it comes to air tumble tracks, most gymnasts know the name AirTrack, and for good reason. This company produces inflatable gymnastics mats for all settings, from home to professional, made to high quality standards for long-term reliability. That's why we've given the AirTrack Zephyr 8 the top spot. At 8 inches tall and 5 feet wide, it's comfortable and offers plenty of room, although the Zephyr does come in other sizes, as well. It's slightly pricier than much of the competition, but for day-to-day use, it's a choice you can count on.
As for other models, we kept the Happybuy Air Track Pro, the FBSport Mat, and the iBigBean Floor. Note that the Happybuy option does not come from AirTrack, despite the name. We removed a couple of choices, including the Playieer Gymnastics and the Star Paraselene Professional, over concerns about both long-term durability and ongoing availability. We've opted to add one set, as well, the Dairtrack 5-Piece Set. It's something of an investment, but it is just as useful for building a variety of skills as it is for practicing tumbling passes. And, like most options you'll find here, it comes with an electric air pump, so setup shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

Most of the models on our list are made from a combination of PVC tarpaulin and drop stitch fabric, which is highly durable, waterproof, and easy to keep clean. We've included a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, and some of them have multiple thickness options, like the Sportmad Fitness and Happybuy Mat. We also added a few budget-friendly choices, such as the EZ Glam Practice Mat, Star Paraselene Professional, and Sinolodo Gym.
Special Honors
AirTrack Spark From a company many consider to be the top name in inflatable gymnastics mats, the AirTrack Spark is thicker than most, with plenty of bounce. It's also durable, thanks to a robust double-wall fabric. You'll need to purchase a pump and carrying bag separately, but the ample size and two-year warranty make this option worth the extra expense. us.airtrackfactory.com
