The 10 Best Aluminum Folding Tables

This wiki has been updated 13 times since it was first published in February of 2017. Just because you're roughing it out in nature or spending the day at the beach doesn't mean you can't enjoy a stable table on which to perch snacks, beverages, board games, and more. We've selected aluminum folding options in an array of different designs and sizes, but all of them will make a welcome addition to your campsite, picnic, or tailgating party. Some will even fit in a backpack. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

September 28, 2019:

We've kept a range of styles at this time, so there's something for all, whether you need somewhere to place your camp stove or to set up for a backyard party. For most general uses, the Coleman Outdoor Compact remains the model to beat; it's relatively durable but does not come with the big price tag of some premium brands. It's too large for backpacking, though. If you need this portability, you might consider the GSI Outdoors Ultralight, which replaces the GSI Outdoors Micro due to some availability issues. It comes in two sizes and provides just enough room to get your food prep tools up and out of the mud.

We've also opted to add a model made expressly for grills, the Cuisinart Take Along Grill Stand. It has three surfaces, but only one is metal (the side two are plastic). Considering the cost, it would be nice for it to be entirely made of aluminum and steel, but that would also make it heavier than it already is. Consider this one for car camping, picnics, and RVing, not for rough-and-tumble outdoors expeditions.

October 16, 2018:

Because of issues with availability, removed the ChezMax and KingCamp Adjustable models. Replaced the latter with the KingCamp Roll Up thanks to the brand's ability to produce quality camping gear. Also added the GSI Outdoors Micro as a supremely lightweight and packable choice.

Special Honors

Helinox Table One Hard Top Technically, the Helinox Table One Hard Top is only partially made from aluminum, but if weight is your main concern, it could nevertheless be a fine option. At just over 3 pounds, it's not too burdensome, and it packs up compactly for storage and carry.
