This wiki has been updated 18 times since it was first published in November of 2017. Like the children who play with her, Barbie boasts a nearly endless list of hobbies that include skateboarding, camping, boating, cooking, and more. As such, there are thousands of accessories available to help kids get the most out of playtime. Whether you’re looking for a house, a vehicle, a closet full of clothes, or a pretend workplace for a child's doll, our selection has something for you. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

May 28, 2020:

Today we added Barbie’s Dream Camper to the list, which has a lot to offer. It rolls smoothly when closed up, and it can also open up to reveal a kitchen, bathroom, and two hammocks in a sleeping area. In addition, there’s a pool that can be filled with water and an attachable slide. Also included is a fire pit with roasting sticks and marshmallows. It opens up to a two-foot length and is easy to close it all back up when play is done or when kids want to pretend Barbie is hitting the road. As much as we’re happy there are now so many career-minded sets, we also wanted to round out the selection with a set that consists of a closet full of clothes, so we added the Fashionistas Ultimate Closet. This one comes with a Barbie doll, the included clothing includes a romper, two dresses, three pairs of shoes, some purses, and some hangers. It all stores neatly in the included carrying case with a handle. Speaking of career-minded sets, the Pet Care Center Playset is great for any youngster who’s interested in pursuing a veterinary career. It comes with four pet patients, as well as all sorts of animal-care items from a pretend x-ray machine and a stethoscope to grooming supplies and a bathtub. Like many of these sets, this one folds up compactly for easy storage and transport.

The Barbie Dreamhouse remains in the top spot on the list, as this item is almost as iconic as Barbie herself. It’s one of a whole host of Barbie houses and is packed with fun items and activities kids are sure to love, like eight rooms filled with colorful furniture and appliances and a working elevator. It’s also got a garage with an opening door, which can store a Barbie car like the Glam Convertible, the number two item on our list. Another fun feature of the house is you can activate lights and sounds by placing accessories on top of select furniture. For instance, you can produce the sounds of sizzling bacon, a bubbling aquarium, a ticking timer, and a flushing toilet, as well as the light of an oven. The house is creatively designed to maximize space, with a couch that opens to create bunk beds and a coffee table that flips to reveal a bed for the Chelsea doll, sold separately. The fireplace transforms into a home office, and the kitchen sink turns into a barbecue grill.

To make room for the clothing and the camper sets, we removed the Spy Squad Secret Agent Motorcycle, which many kids (and some adults) have a difficult time fitting the dolls on, and we wanted instead to include a set that will hold children’s attention longer. We also removed the SUV Vehicle, which can hold up to four Barbies, but it’s hard to get them inside since the doors don’t open. For safety’s sake, as the warnings on most Barbie dolls and Barbie accessories state, they should not be given to children younger than three years of age. You should wait until after three years of age, and also once your child no longer puts toys into his or her mouth.
