The 10 Best Bike Baskets For Dogs

Updated October 05, 2019 by Melissa Harr

This wiki has been updated 20 times since it was first published in April of 2017. Including a dog makes an activity that's already fun that much more enjoyable, and riding a bicycle is no exception. These baskets allow your four-legged best friend to travel in style and comfort, and give you the confidence that your pet is safe and secure, so you can both take pleasure in the journey. Some will also haul groceries or other items when you're running errands or commuting. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. If you'd like to contribute your own research to Ezvid Wiki, please get started by reviewing this introductory video.

Editor's Notes

October 03, 2019:

At this time, we still think the Travelin K9 Pet-Pilot Original is the choice that will suit most users, since it comes in many colors, is not likely to sway, and has features that are useful but not complicated. But its overall look is quite sporty, so those who'd prefer something more classic or rustic might consider the Beach & Dog Willow or PetSafe Solvit Tagalong. Note that the latter is advertised as wicker, which refers to the style of weave and not the materials (it's essentially made of plastic).

As for new additions, we decided to add the KlickFix Rixen & Kaul Bag, which is a fine pet holder and an equally useful bike basket for groceries and the like. And we selected the Nantucket Expandable, which is a general-purpose pet carrier that straps to a bicycle's rear rack. The expandable sides do make it slightly heavier than some, so it might not be great for those who don't want to add too much weight to their ride.
