Vessel Signature Series If you’ll settle for nothing less than a luxury case, this classy series is worth consideration, since it will provide impressive performance to boot. You can easily stack it on top of a rolling suitcase by pushing the handle through its convenient trolley sleeve, and its zippers are waterproof in case you get stuck in the rain. vesselbags.com

Stuart & Lau Cary Series The Cary series is available in a variety of styles and color schemes, from a slim, lightweight design that’s ideal for a traveling minimalist to a thick, dual-compartment model with an umbrella holder and several small mesh pockets. Many options feature a card slot for luggage tags, too. stuartandlau.com

Troubadour Generation Pathfinder With this handsome bag, you’ll get the best of both worlds: a slim, professional profile and substantial capacity for holding files, laptops and general accessories. It features a padded shoulder strap that’s designed to provide the user long-term comfort, and it’s backed by a five-year guarantee. troubadourgoods.com

Editor's Notes

July 16, 2019:

In studying the Leathario Business, we came across numerous complaints regarding its magnetic closures. For many users, these clasps simply won’t remain shut, causing the bag to open at inopportune times and spill contents. We removed it from the list. As it is no longer available, we also had to get rid of the 5.11 Outdoor Tactical.

But fear not, nature lovers and adventurers — we’ve added the GES Military as a replacement for the 5.11 model, and it’s tailor-made for use out in the elements. Users note its rugged construction, reliable resistance to water, and plethora of pockets for ancillary items as major benefits.

We added the Alpine Swiss Attache specifically with any eye toward the security-minded; it includes two combination locks to provide dependable protection for its contents. We also noted its strong metal feet, which are super effective at protecting the base of the case from wear and tear. Users seem pleasantly surprised by its lightweight design given its solid construction.
