The 10 Best Car Organizers

Updated May 21, 2020 by Sam Kraft

This wiki has been updated 17 times since it was first published in March of 2018. If you spend a lot of time in your vehicle, you’re aware of the clutter that tends to pile up — particularly if you haul the kids around frequently. With one of these car organizers, it’s a lot easier to ensure everything remains in its proper place. We've included freestanding units for the trunk, hanging models that can be strapped to a backrest, and small bins that rest on the seat. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. If you'd like to contribute your own research to Ezvid Wiki, please get started by reviewing this introductory video.

Editor's Notes

May 18, 2020:

Decided to remove the KangoKids Cargo because of durability issues. In reviewing the EPAuto Premium, we confirmed that it includes two beverage holders, but we noted several complaints that they are too small to accommodate many types of containers.

While the Sleeping Lamb Protector works well as a storage solution, we pointed out that the top corners may begin to fold inward (toward the passenger) once the organizer has been loaded up with items. This can be frustrating for those who prefer that it remain flush with the seat. We also adjusted the listing for the Drive Auto Trunk to reflect that it’s available in three colors now.

One creative, useful attribute of the Yogi Prime Cargo that we’d like to point out: a strip of Velcro that runs along the bottom of its back side. The Velcro adheres to the liner in most cars and trucks, helping to stabilize the entire organizer.

The Uncle Mike’s 53561 — our lone new addition — is unlike any of the other options on the list; when you’re finished driving, you can detach it from the seat to use it as a carrying bag. We point out that it’s a nice choice for business professionals or students who have to tote laptops, documents and school and office supplies.
