The 10 Best Cash Drawers
Editor's Notes
June 14, 2019:
While the rise of Square and other card-based solutions may threaten cash-based businesses somewhat, many of the options on this list — such as the Certus Global Push — are designed with that technology in mind. If you hope to take credit and debit card payments, make sure the cash drawer you choose either has something like an RJ11 port or a way to accommodate a phone, tablet, or other device.
The EOM-POS 100 doesn't necessarily have a bunch of incredible features, but the ability to mount it under a counter is a big reason why it ranked so highly here. The models we listed are all relatively secure on their own, but adding a physical barrier between your money and the general public is always a smart idea.
The Sparco Tray is not the most formidable model, but it's lightweight enough that it's easily transportable. If you have to move from location to location to conduct business or if you have employees who are expected to take their tills with them at the end of their shifts, it's worth your consideration.
