The 7 Best Cordless Snow Blowers
Editor's Notes
November 24, 2020:
We removed the PowerSmart DB2401 due to reports of its lack of durability and quality control. To provide some more variety in style and design, we added two new shovel-style options. The Snow Joe 24V-SS10, a light-duty budget-friendly model, and Snow Joe 24V-SS13, a heavier-duty option that still weighs only 15 pounds. What’s great about these shovel-style models is that since they’re so lightweight, they’re able to be used in areas where a bulkier push-blower design can’t. Like a back deck, or upstairs balcony.
We also added the rugged Snow Joe iON100V. This model has a high price tag, but if you’re looking for a cordless option that comes close to the power of a gas-powered model, this is a great choice. At 69 pounds, it’s also relatively lightweight, compared to gas-powered models that can weigh over a hundred pounds.
Whether you get a traditional or shovel-style snow blower, you should always observe and practice the safety procedures recommended in the user manual. These machines are extremely dangerous, and can easily cause severe injury or death if you're not careful. Be extremely careful when wearing any loose-fitting clothing or accessories, like scarves, as they can easily become tangled in the auger and pulled inside. Always stay focused on the task at hand, and never operate the machine while using any kind of mind-altering medication or alcohol.
If you'd prefer a larger variety of sizes and fuel-types, this general collection of snow blowers should give you a broad spectrum of choices. Or, if you don't think you need the power of a snow blower at all, maybe a snow shovel is enough to do the trick. They require a lot more user effort, but they're much cheaper and provide some healthy exercise.

It has become apparent while researching cordless snow blowers that they just can't match their gas or electric counterparts when it comes to power. We had to discount many models because of lackluster performance and the tendency to clog or shutdown often when encountering deeper or wetter piles of snow. From every option on the market, the models left on our list consistently offer the best performance.
