While the general durability of exhaust fans, or the power, volumetric flow rate (in CFM) and efficiency of their motors haven’t undergone drastic changes in recent years, accessibility in our lives have certainly improved, with more smart gadgets entering the market, so this update was an opportunity for me to replace older models with newer, more convenient options which are sold with remote controllers, like the iLiving 12-Inch. Note that you can always buy and install a control box with a remote yourself, though an out-of-the box option will certainly be a lot more convenient.

The AC Infinity Airlift is quite a stylish and unique option with a lot of programming options, and while I’d expect to see these sorts of features and conveniences on a tower fan, I’m surprised to see a ‘smart’ out-of-the-box exhaust fan in the market. I’ve highlighted the 10-inch Airlift here, but they do have a range of other sizes and model variations.
