The 10 Best Fairy Lights

Updated February 16, 2019 by Melissa Harr

This wiki has been updated 21 times since it was first published in February of 2019. Lighting affects the ambiance of any space, and one of the quickest ways to a warm, inviting atmosphere is with fairy lights. Made to illuminate, but not overpower, they add a touch of charm and elegance without the hassle of replacing fixtures. They can function as the focal point of your decor, too, especially when you select whimsical or colored options, such as some of those you'll find here. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

February 13, 2019:

We've here selected fairy lights with a classic, understated feel as well as those that are designed to be eye-catching, so there are options whether you want your lights to fade into the background or work as a focal point. For creating atmosphere, the Minetom Starry and GDealer Twinkle work well, since they are relatively plain and soft to illuminate but not overpower. For decorative schemes that require something bolder, the GDealer 33 Foot Firefly, Impress Life Sea Glass, and NSEN Mini LEDs are options to consider, with the GDealer Firefly being particularly useful for event planning, as they have 16 different colors that allow you to coordinate easily, perhaps to team or holiday colors. Note that we added several that are resistant to wetness, including the 12APM Waterproof and TaoTronics Dimmable, but this mainly refers to the actual strand and not the power source.
