The 9 Best Fall Protection Kits
Editor's Notes

The Guardian Bucket of Safe-Tie is an all-in-one kit with everything you need to comply with OSHA standards, and, as its name suggests, it comes with a bucket that makes it easy to store and carry from job to job. The plated metal anchor will work on just about any rooftop, and the lifeline includes a static rope positioning device with an 18-inch lanyard extension. If you need to anchor yourself to an overhead structure, like a truss, beam, or tree branch, consider the KwikSafety Hurricane, which comes with a three-foot cross arm strap and an Octopus lanyard to keep your tools close at hand.
While it may be pricey, the Madaco Industrial is much more comfortable than a lot of other harnesses. It has a padded back and shoulder support and is lined with breathable mesh to help keep you cool on hot days. The six-foot lanyard has a double-locking snaphook and an auto-locking carabiner, and it's retractable, so it takes up less storage space. It also comes with a heavy-duty duffle bag for storage.
If you're on a tight budget, the Kseibi Full Body is an affordable option made from durable polyester webbing with powder-coated steel fittings. It comes with a restraint lanyard, which has an oversized scaffold hook with a gate opening over two inches wide. However, keep in mind that the harness only fits waist sizes up to 42 inches. The Peakworks Harness is another budget-friendly option with a rip stitch lanyard that's designed to tear the inner lining in the event of a fall, which helps to limit shock and force to your body. Note, though, that the lanyard is permanently attached and cannot be removed.
