A toy for adults and kids, Feisty Pets are cute and cuddly — until you give them a squeeze. Most are safe for kids over the age of 3, but be aware that some children may find this toy frightening, as the transformation from adorable to ferocious can be abrupt. While many find this hilarious, if you aren't sure how the kid in your life will react, you may want to go slowly and explain your new furry pal in advance. You might consider Super Doofus Sir Growls-a-lot, as the face he makes is goofy rather than aggressive, or look to a less threatening toy, such as a charming Baby Yoda plushie or Strawberry Shortcake doll.
With that said, we think Ginormous Gracie and Scrappy Savannah, as well as Jacked-Up Jackie and Joey, make good choices, since each comes with two, a mama and a baby, which will help encourage imaginative play. Lightning Bolt Lucy will do a good job of that, too, since she's a wild creature in a bright color just waiting to go on adventures, perhaps with Glenda Glitterpoop.
For those who are into displaying Feisty Pets, rather than actually playing with them, we added the Minis Collection. It comes with four keychain-sized pals, so there's enough to share among siblings or friends. Vicky Vicious also makes a great display; crafted from plastic, this figure is 4 inches tall and perfect for jazzing up a shelf or desk.
