Fishing hoodies are well-suited for outdoor endeavors because they dry faster than cotton and pull sweat away from the skin, which minimizes odors and keeps you relatively cool and comfortable. Along with a focus on performance, we took style into account, but to a slightly lesser degree, since the most important thing for a fishing hoodie is how well it protects you from the elements.
That being said, if you do prefer something with a notably more stylish design that many of the options in this category, we recommend the Koofin Gear Performance, which has a very artistic pattern, or the Southern Fin Lightweight, which has a large graphic of a fish on the back. The Koofin Gear Performance is worth mentioning again for the integrated face mask, which can help you use a little less sunscreen. It will also offer some protection against the wind.
When it comes to versatility, the Quiksilver Angler LS immediately stands out. It is the only one that features drawstrings to pull the hood tighter when needed, and it also works well for surfing in place of a more traditional rashguard.
While all of the garments on this list are designed to be breathable and wick moisture away from the skin to keep you cool on hot days, the Columbia Terminal Zero excels in this regard as it is the only one that features technology that reflects the sun's rays away from the body, rather then simply blocking them. It also features an integrated neck gaiter.
