They come in a variety of sizes to meet the needs of all ages, in designs to match any decor, and at a range of prices that can meet any budget. Editor's Notes

July 16, 2019:

Made of particle board or wood, dressers can be really heavy. Since our selections are intended for use in kids' rooms where they'll likely be used as jungle gyms, that makes safety a top priority. Fortunately, most of our selections come with hardware that lets you anchor the dresser to the wall to prevent it from tipping over.

They can be tricky to put together, and several of them specify that 2 adults are needed for assembly. But if you have time and patience, you can end up with a quality product that will meet your needs for years.

In this update, we evaluated our selections based on quality and value and favored those items with outstanding reputations among users. Removed a couple of items due to concerns about their availability and added the South Shore Sweet Piggy as a good option that balances cute design with practicality.

An avid reader and outdoors enthusiast, Joe earned his doctorate in literary studies before making the lateral leap from academia to technical writing. He now lives and works in the inter-mountain West where he creates technical and marketing content, including white papers, solution briefs, and courseware for some of the world’s largest information technology companies. With more than 14 years of experience in the field, he has learned more than he ever thought he would know about such enterprise IT topics as cloud computing, storage, databases, business software, and networking. When he’s not writing about business computing, he can be found outdoors, probably hiking with his family and dog.
