Editor's Notes

February 22, 2019:

As you get to a more advanced level, you'll want to pick your position, and for players who know what they want, STX is the clear winner. Attackers will love the precision offered by the Crux 600, and the Fortress 300 is great for defenders. If your youngster hasn't made that kind of decision yet, they'll want a complete stick that isn't too heavy or long and comes strung and ready to play. The Maverick is a great choice, but younger players might want an even smaller option like the Junior Stinger, which has a proportionally shorter handle while also offering a large head so they can get used to handling a full-sized ball.
