Special Honors

Silver Cross wave This model offers a slew of configurations with one or two seats attached. It boasts fine grain leather on the handlebar and crossbar, and a storage basket that can carry up to 33 pounds of gear. It comes with both a standard seat and a bassinet, as well as a detachable cup holder and the adaptors you would need to convert it into duallie. silvercrossus.com

Lalo Daily Sometimes simplicity can be the pinnacle of luxury, and when done right it can stand to save you a little money, as well. That's the ethos behind this attractive, capable, and budget-friendly model. Its streamlined aluminum frame is lightweight and highly maneuverable, especially in crowds, and its fabric is available in five colors. Storage space is rather limited, however. meetlalo.com

Editor's Notes

May 28, 2020:

Looking over the contents of our previous list, there were some models that might not quite have passed into the luxury sector. Now, the criteria for this aren't all cost-based, mind you. There are relatively inexpensive options that offer enough luxury features to make the cut, like the Bob Gear Alterrain Pro Jogging. This model in particular impresses with its shock absorption, which is a huge plus for running parents. And it replaces the Baby Jogger Freedom from our last ranking, which had a sleek, unusual look and a high price tag, but couldn't compete for features. There are models that are plenty expensive, but don't quite rise to the level of luxury either, mainly due to what seems like a lack of consideration for their customers' needs. Of course, those models didn't make the cut.

Other high-end newcomers include the Joolz Geo2 Earth Mono, which is one of the better investment models out there given its ability to convert from a pram to a stroller and then eventually offer a second seat for baby bro or sis. We also found an upgrade in the Uppababy Cruz V2, which increased the unit's weight capacity to last parents longer.
