Accuracy, ease of use, and an easy to read dial are the main factors we considered when updating these mechanical bathroom scales. We added the Health O Meter Oversized due to its large 13-inch base that provides a stable platform, and its five and a half inch dial.

Also included is the Taylor Precision Black, a contemporary styled scale that features a textured, anti-slip mat and a large black dial with easy to read measurements. However, it is a compact model that may not be the best choice for those with large feet.

The Pelstar Professional offers the biggest dial at eight inches, and since it is raised from the platform by four inches, it allows for more standing room while making it easier to read.

Investigated accuracy issues with Salter models, ultimately adding the 200 Academy Professional as a viable option because it can be reliable with proper calibration. Additionally selected two non-traditional models, the Health O Meter Beam Scale and Ozeri Rev Electro-Mechanical for those who may be interested in something a little different.
