Editor's Notes

April 11, 2020:

In this update, we added two Mega Construx sets that can provide hours of building fun and play time for Minion lovers. The Mega Construx Family Luau brings the whole clan together for a party, including Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes, and a Minion in a Hulu outfit, and they can be decked out in lei necklaces and enjoy pretend refreshments with the included cups and spoon. When it’s time for dancing, the figurines can move with the help of a rotating brick. Fans of Agnes will love helping her search for an elusive unicorn with the Mega Construx Expedition Set, with which you can build a forest with trees, bushes, a pond, and a rainbow. Agnes will have the help of Lucky the goat and two delicious-looking lollipops, but make sure the mischievous Minion doesn’t get in the way.

For another fun family activity, check out the newly added Hasbro Gaming Bop It!, which is made in the likeness of Stuart, and makes the sounds of his friendly gibberish, along with Agnes calling out a series of challenges. Will you make it to the end? You can play solo or with others. The volume is adjustable, and while it comes with demo batteries, you’ll need two AAA ones for play.

For dolls that are fun for cuddling with or proudly displaying on a shelf, look to Bob with Teddy Bear, which comes with a lunchbox to store your favorite character’s little friend, as well as Ty Tim, which comes from the maker of Beanie Babies and features a signature heart-shaped hanging tag. For outdoor fun, check out a set of Dave and Stuart Walkie Talkies, the Kick Scooter, and Hedstrom Jr. Soccer Ball, all of which incorporate bright, fun graphics depicting the mischievous yellow creatures.

Arts and crafts lovers will enjoy coloring scenes from the popular movies and adding in some stickers, with the Crayola Color & Sticker Book, which contains 32 pages that are ready to be decorated. It fits easily into a backpack, purse, or the pocket of a car seat, making it convenient for taking on car trips. Just know that you’ll need to purchase crayons or markers separately.

For fans of characters featured in other highly popular movies, check out our lists of the best Troll toys and best Iron Man toys. For safety's sake, always supervise children for a safe playtime and be sure to follow a manufacturer's age guidelines with any toy.
