May 23, 2020:
These eye-catching modern cribs can instantly add a touch of style to any nursery, as they offer intriguing designs that range from the minimalistic to the futuristic. What makes many of them so useful is that in addition to their sleek, attractive build, they are also convertible cribs that can be transformed to accommodate kids through adolescence. One such option is the newly added Storkcraft Equinox 3-in-1, which can be used by an infant, a toddler, or an older child, thanks to its adjustable design and a three-level base. It boasts a sleek, two-tone look, with a side frame available in a gray or a driftwood color that contrasts nicely against the white slats.
Today we also added in the Graco Hadley, an attractive option from a well-known name in baby furniture and gear. It also grows with your child, with the final setting being a full-sized bed. It’s available in gray, espresso, or white colors, with a safe, nontoxic finish. The futuristic Ubabub Pod moves into the number one spot, and features a sleek round design with clear acrylic panels on the front and back. These allow you to keep an eye on your little one, and their star-shaped cutouts at a touch of whimsy. For the same clear front and back panels, but minus the rounded shape, you can go with the Ubabub Nifty Clear, which comes with stylish angled feet and a low height profile that makes it easy to lift your baby in and out of it. To make room for other attractive and modern selections, we removed the Ubabub Nifty Timber in this update, which is similar to the clear model, but with hardwood slats all the way around. We also removed the Delta Children Bellevue 3-in-1 Convertible, the guardrail for which must be purchased separately to turn it into a toddler bed.
For safety’s sake, always go with a crib that’s been certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, an independent national organization that tests products annually for safety. In addition, make sure there are no gaps larger than two fingers between the sides of the crib and the mattress. Follow the assembly instructions provided and make sure all of the parts are installed correctly. If you’re unsure, call the manufacturer for help. As a rule, don’t use a crib that is more than 10 years old, or one with broken slats or loose components. Do not place pillows, blankets, or bumpers in a crib with an infant.
