Editor's Notes

May 12, 2020:

Had to remove a few items due to quality concerns and a lack of availability. We looked into several plastic “pouf” style ottomans as potential new additions, but none seemed reliable enough to include on this list, as they tend to be fragile and break down after being subjected to harsh weather for a period of time.

Some folks seem to have trouble efficiently inflating the Kozyard Camp (which we’ve noted in the description), but it’s a nice value for a portable ottoman you can easily take along on trips and vacations. It’s available in an extensive array of colorful designs. It may irk some that it doesn’t come with a cushion, but the Keter Corfu is a simple, sturdy option that works well as an outdoor coffee table as well as an ottoman.

The Super Patio Rattan and Great Deal Malibu (both new additions) are quite similar in style, with attractive wicker frames and comfortable cushions. However, it would be nice if they offered internal storage. Those with high-end tastes will want to check out the Stardust Modern in the Special Honors section, which includes several trendy, contemporary options — one of which features a handy cutout on top for storing things like beverages, books, mobile devices or sunscreen.
