The 10 Best Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves

Updated May 12, 2020 by Sam Kraft

This wiki has been updated 30 times since it was first published in February of 2017. Plantar fasciitis is not fun – the stiffness, discomfort and often agonizing foot pain can make leading a normal life nearly impossible. However, a quality sleeve can help alleviate that pain by providing elasticized support to relieve stress and compression and improve blood flow. Many can even be worn like a typical pair of socks. We’ve put together a list of your best options. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Comfort Clinic MKO Made with medical-grade fabric, these advanced sleeves provide support around the clock, whether you’re slumbering in bed or working out. They don’t pinch or bind at the ankle, and the elastic opening keeps them tightly wrapped around your shin so they won’t slip down over time. comfortclinic.ca

Editor's Notes

May 10, 2020:

Modified the listing for the Pure Compression Ultimate to reflect that they are no longer available as a single sleeve — only as a pair. Also updated the SB Sox Support, noting that their slim design makes them easy to wear under socks without feeling too bulky. Indicated that the OrthoSleeve FS6 include a little laundry bag to hold the sleeves while they’re in the washing machine.

Compression sleeves for plantar fasciitis come in a variety of forms, including standard sock style, secure braces, small wraps for the center of the foot, and compact cushions that focus on the heel. We’ve added three new models, including the ComfiLife Sport, a brace-style wrap that covers the ankle but leaves the toes open.

The Brison Compression and Wonderwin Relief both offer targeted arch support, but they vary significantly in design and appearance. The Brison Compression resemble a skin-colored miniature sock that covers the middle part of the foot, with soft gel pads built into the bottom of the fabric. The Wonderwin Relief feature a circular pad (which also contains a soft, firm gel), which is connected to a stretchy strap that adheres to the foot. Both perform the same function, though we note that some people find the Wonderwin model a bit too thin to provide the support they need.
