The 8 Best RGB Fans
Editor's Notes
January 07, 2021:
While many of our previous picks managed to make it through this round of updates, we decided on doing away with several selections due to availability issues, namely the KZyee 3-Pack, Asiahorse Model-X, Cooler Master MasterFan Pro and Enermax T.B.
We also ended up adding a couple new choices. The first was the GIM KB-24 — a three-pack of 120-millimeter fans that generate a maximum of 15 decibels of racket, even at their top speed of 1,300 RPM, and come with a convenient remote control and hub; and our second addition, the Havit Cooling Pad, isn’t necessarily a perfect fit for this category, but we still thought it was worth including this chromatic laptop cooler, in case anybody perusing this list was also interested in a tricked out stand for their gaming laptop.

The Thermaltake Riing Trio offers a wide range of color customization and synchronization options that respond to music pulses, game action, and CPU temperature fluctuations. This model is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, which I thought was pretty cool. Decided to include the Corsair LL Series due to the 16 independently-operating LEDs on each unit, dynamic speed controls, and the included lighting node pro device for software-controlled customizations. Even though several models on the list are equipped with one, the self-lubricating hydraulic bearing on this one also keeps noise output down to a minimum. Also added the PC Cooler Moonlight Series due to its chasing/rotating color patterns and shock-absorbent silicone padding. The Cooler Master MasterFan Pro features integrated jam protection sensors within each unit as well as a hybrid fan design that supports optimal airflow. Also included the Asiahorse Model-X for its internally-facing frame and thin edges that helps to reduce resonance. Finally, the KZyee 3-Pack offers a convenient previous-cycle memory function.
