The 8 Best Ride-On Luggage For Toddlers

Updated December 16, 2018 by Brett Dvoretz

This wiki has been updated 20 times since it was first published in December of 2018. Pulling your rolling luggage, a child's bag, and the toddler who owns it is a real pain. It's no wonder parents of small kids get to board the plane first — they have a hard job. These ride-on suitcases help consolidate some of the work, since tots can hop right on them, giving you one less thing to worry about. Just be sure you always keep an eye on them, so they stay safe when on one of these. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

December 12, 2018:

Our primary focus in making these selections was finding models kids are enthusiastic to use, since that makes the life of parents much easier. So we found a variety of fun, eye-catching designs that are just as much toys as they are luggage. We added some trunk-style suitcases, as well as ones with interiors that mimic adult ones — with zippered compartments, cross straps, and other useful features.

A wandering writer who spends as much time on the road as in front of a laptop screen, Brett can either be found hacking away furiously at the keyboard or, perhaps, enjoying a whiskey and coke on some exotic beach, sometimes both simultaneously, usually with a four-legged companion by his side. He has been a professional chef, a dog trainer, and a travel correspondent for a well-known Southeast Asian guidebook. He also holds a business degree and has spent more time than he cares to admit in boring office jobs. He has an odd obsession for playing with the latest gadgets and working on motorcycles and old Jeeps. His expertise, honed over years of experience, is in the areas of computers, electronics, travel gear, pet products, and kitchen, office and automotive equipment.
