We kept the ALC Keysco ALC40403, because, even though other products by the same brand seem to be well-made, there just wasn’t enough online reviews to give us the confidence we need to keep such an expensive option on our list. We also removed the Dragway Tools Model 260, due to reports that its quality control isn’t up to our standards.
We added a high-end model, the TP Tools USA 2858, a professional option that could be a great investment for a busy workshop. This is a similar model to our existing TP Tools USA 2846, but is smaller and more affordable. Both these options include large HEPA vacuums and are made of heavy-duty steel and angle-iron framework.
We also added the Eastwood 28, a nice, mid-sized cabinet whose viewing window uses a convenient flip-up design. This allows you to insert your workpieces through the window cutout, instead of through a separate door that would prevent you from placing it against the wall.
Even though containing your sandblasting to a cabinet may seem relatively safe, you’re still combining high pressure and projectiles, which is naturally a dangerous situation. Always make sure to follow the safety procedures that accompany your unit. Since dust and material clouds can form when opening the cabinet, eye protection and respirators should be worn at all times.
If a dedicated cabinet isn’t what you’re looking for, this general collection of sandblasters should give you more of a variety to choose from.
The gloves that come with your cabinet should be durable enough to last a while, but eventually will need to be replaced after enough abuse. These sandblasting gloves will provide the safety and protection you need, just make sure they have the appropriate fit and flare to match your cabinet.

Our top two selections reflect the difficulty in making a list such as this. The Lykos 25 Gallon is small and affordable enough for hobbyists, while the Skat Blast 2846 is far more suitable for professional shops. As such, those rankings can largely be considered interchangeable depending on the needs of the user, as both are excellent for one set of circumstances while being inappropriate for another.
