It was a fairly uneventful round of updates for us. Although we did remove the Trideer Wiggle Seat and AppleRound Air due to availability issues, we had no trouble replacing them with two, comparable, new offerings.
Our first pick was the RFAQK Extra Thick, which we liked because it came with a drawstring storage bag and a small air pump, essentially providing you everything you need to get started with and maintain your cushion. With a 450-pound capacity – which is notably heavy and quite high for the category, though nothing compared to the impressive 660-pound capacity of the BackPainHelp Posture – it’s unlikely that many users will be too heavy for it, as well.
Our second pick was the StrongTek Hedgehog, which includes not only a thirteen-inch stabilization cushion, but also four, smaller, 6-1/4-inch, semi-spherical units that lend themselves to a number of challenging stabilization exercises. Their shape is useful too, as you can just flip them over – if ever you find that squats with the smooth side down are getting too easy, for example – to add some extra resistance with the round side down.

Although the J/fit Extra Large is one of the most sizable options available, we ultimately decided to remove it due to inadequate longevity. For those who need this bigger size, we'd instead recommend the Airex Pad Elite, which is offered in both smaller and larger options, all of which are made from closed-cell foam that won't pop. When it comes to inflatables, we still think the Black Mountain Balance Disc is a top choice, and we added the King Athletic Core Trainer and Trideer Wiggle Seat, as well. For classrooms, the Trideer is perhaps the better choice, as it's offered in a range of fun, bright colors that are sure to please younger kids. We also decided to add the K9 FITbone, which is commonly used in canine rehabilitation and therapy; it's quite pricey, though, so it may not be worth the investment for everyone.
