Editor's Notes

April 04, 2019:

If you're looking for a regular, medium-size flashlight, it's hard to beat the 8.85-inch Stinger DS, which is bright, energy-efficient, and has a durable, water-resistant shell. The Strion LED is a little smaller at nearly 6 inches long, making it a great size to keep in your glove box or desk, and it comes with both AC and DC adapters, so you can even charge it in the car. The SL 20-L is a full-size model at 13 inches, and its simple one-handed operation and flashing strobe mode make it suitable for law enforcement, fire and rescue, and security applications. The Nano Miniature, Microstream C4, and Stylus Pro are all compact enough to carry in your pocket, and the latter's lantern feature makes it great for camping and other situations when you want hands-free light.
