This wiki has been updated 19 times since it was first published in March of 2018. Sometimes a platter of food or condiment is just out of reach, but you feel bad about interrupting a conversation just to ask someone to pass it — or, even worse, you lean over the table only to spill someone’s wine or accidentally stick your elbow into their food. Fortunately, you can help to prevent these mishaps during family meals or dinner parties by using one of these tabletop Lazy Susans. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Michael Wainright Borealis Gold If you're looking for a really nice wedding gift, the Michael Wainright Borealis Gold is a worthy consideration. Handmade from clay in Massachusetts by Michael himself, it has a diameter of 25 inches and features a crystal glaze finished in 24 karat gold or platinum. Although it's an expensive choice, it is versatile enough to be used as a serving tray for cheese and vegetables. michaelwainwright.com

Saks Ladorada Gray Almendro The Saks Ladorada Gray Almendro is constructed from a combination of wood and inlaid cow bone imported from Colombia, allowing it to provide a pleasing aesthetic for any modern dining table. Editor's Notes

May 29, 2020:

Unlike traditional spice racks that store only one type of item, these revolving platforms come in many different shapes, sizes, and materials to complement any dining room decor. That isn't to say that spice racks are inferior or less useful, but they're typically smaller and stored in cabinets or on kitchen surfaces near cooking appliances.

When I was growing up, my family and I typically sat at a large square table with all the food in front of us and ready to grab. Since we were only a family of four, we didn't need a huge eating surface, nor did we think much about using a revolving platform to make things easier to reach. However, having a rotating serving tray like this may have reduced the frequency of spills and other food-related accidents resulting from reaching across the table to get something. The lazy Susan acts like a table within a table, maximizing available countertop space.

Some lazy Susans have multiple tiers and are designed to hold condiments, bottles, spices, and cheeses, while others, like the Master Garden Barrel Head and Piazza Pisano Bordeaux feature high-gloss finishes that allow them to withstand extreme temperatures.

If aesthetics and sustainability are just as important to your dining experience as functionality is, we've added the Driini Premium to satisfy your needs. Because each one is individually crafted from the stump of a Fir wood tree, no two will look the same.

For a food storage solution with multiple levels, both the X-Cosrack 2-Tier and Lovotex Stand fit the bill, the former of which has six removable partition boards for customizing the available storage while the latter is designed to support heavy loads.

Finally, we realize the Happy Dine Table Train is a bit on the expensive side; however, it comes in quite handy as a serving solution for buffets and dinner parties with multiple guests. Additionally, it can withstand extreme temperatures.
