This update was all about including variety in styles, as well as ensuring that every model we recommend functions reliably. One thing you may notice is that our selections range greatly in price, and it is important to understand that you shouldn't expect the same level of performance or functionality from something like the Broan 413004 or Ciarra CAS75918B, as you will get from the Kobe Brillia RAX21 Series or Hauslane Chef Series PS18. Though the former two may move less air and have less settings, they are a fraction of the price. We believe the Kobe Brillia RAX21 Series best balances performance and cost, while boasting an extremely attractive, low-profile aesthetic, however it doesn't have a modern touch panel, like the Fotile JQG7501, Hauslane Chef Series PS18, Cosmo QS75, and XtremeAir Pro-X Series, which may be a deal breaker for some. These last two models even come with a remote control for convenient operation from anywhere in the room.

Included the BV Ducted due to its high efficiency and components that are relatively easy to access. The XtremeAir Ultra Series has quietly-operating centrifugal blowers and a shape that helps to prevent excess oil buildup on its exterior. Also added the Broan 413004 due to its ductless design and slim profile. The Zephyr Typhoon was a unique addition, thanks to its filter-less operation and built-in CFM controls.
