Modern bathroom designs are moving away from traditional pedestal sinks and toilets in favor of wall-mounted options, bringing several benefits in terms of space usage and aesthetics. They can make a room look larger and increase storage options, and since the pipes are concealed in the wall, they create a minimalist look with the sanitary ware being the visual focal point of the room. In order to install a wall-mounted sink, you will need to build a stud wall in which the supply lines and waste pipes will sit, or alternatively sink them into the solid wall. It is a job that can be undertaken by anyone with good DIY skills, however, requirements will vary with each installation and an incorrectly mounted sink could easily break and potentially cause injury.
In this ranking, we selected a variety of styles to suit most needs, including some commercial options, such as the American Standard Lakewell, which is a deep, cast iron sink that due to its heavy-duty construction is a good choice for schools or hospitals. Likewise, the Mustee Utilatub is primarily designed for doing laundry and makes a good addition to a utility room. For small bathrooms or downstairs washrooms, the size of the sink is usually the main consideration. The smallest option is the Gimify Cloakroom at just 14 inches wide and 7 inches in depth. The Scarabeo Teorema and the Bokaiya Oval Mini are also compact options, the latter of which includes the faucet and pop up drain. Corner sinks are also a great way to utilize space without sacrificing too much functionality of the sink. The Renovators Supply Alexander II is a very modern example, with a low profile and angular clean lines, whereas, the Renovators Supply Mountain Pond has more traditional styling with a rounded front.
Larger sinks come in many shapes and styles and often incorporate counter space tor toiletries. The Renovator's Supply Console features a circular countertop, with a round vessel sink. As it is all made from tempered glass it has a very striking appearance that is accentuated by the chrome fittings and faucet. The CeraStyle Yeni Klasik and the Scarabeo 5114 are both ultra-modern, rectangular sinks that can either be wall-mounted or installed on a cabinet, and have plenty of room for your soap, accessories, and toiletries.
