Wall-mounted vacuums are a must-have for active shops and garages. When updating this list, we kept in mind motor and suction capabilities, whether or not tools and accessories were included, the canister's capacity for holding messes, and hose length.

For the most part, our list features the same excellent brand models as before, like the VacuMaid GV50Pro, which delivers superior suction without making too much noise, the Bissell Garage, which boasts the same trusted quality as the brand's better-known in-home options, and the Craftsman 2.5 Gallon, which is a smaller, portable choice that's great for cleaning auto interiors, among other things. In fact, we moved this model up a spot for its versatility and convenience.

This time around, we decided to remove the Workshop Portable from our list of recommendations, as it hasn't proven to be as durable over time as we would like. We added the Prolux Wet-Dry, which is longer lasting, plus offers surprisingly strong suction capability for its size.

Just remember that a battery-operated vacuum will generally not provide as much suction power as one that's plugged into an outlet. Made sure to include a wide variety of sizes, since some people need a large capacity, but others value space-saving instead. Some of these options are easy to transport, while others should be left on the wall and rarely if ever taken down. Luckily, these more stationary models tend to come with long hoses, so you can get plenty of reach.
