When Do Chicco Car Seats Expire?
Chicco gives a designed lifespan from the date of manufacture by seat type: infant seats 6 years, rotating convertibles 8, all-in-one seats 8 or 10, harness boosters 8 and boosters 8.
| Chicco seat | Expires after |
|---|---|
| Infant seat (rear-facing carrier, with or without a base) | 6 years from the date of manufacture |
| Rotating convertible seat | 8 years from the date of manufacture |
| All-in-one seat (rear-facing, forward-facing and booster) | 8 to 10 years from the date of manufacture, depending on the model |
| Harness-to-booster (combination) seat | 8 years from the date of manufacture |
| Booster seat (high-back or backless, uses the vehicle belt) | 8 years from the date of manufacture |
Chicco's all-in-one seats last 8 or 10 years depending on the model, so check the label or manual for those.
